Why are there no discussions in groups?

I see no activity in any of the groups I join even though they say there is heaps.

So true, heaps of.people.in most of them as well.

True join a group, at the top header discussion 24. Click on it an old 1 or 2 appears don't understand that myself

In the personal settings there is an option to choose how old a message is visible. It will probably be set to 7 days. If you increase this to all time you will see all messages.

Mine are set at 1 year so some group pages say 6 discussions but only 2 can be seen so the others must be really old 😆

Because there is a stupid amount of groups created on a whim without any organisation of actually treating it like a group. People sign up to many, and never bother using it, with exceptions.

Sure, explicit here!

Click Account --> Preferences --> Discussion Options

Then change
Watchlist Filter to Unlimited
and
Discussion Filter to Unlimited

Apart from what people have said already, you will find that there are many Members of Groups that are no longer Members of NZP. Click on their name and nothing. Ideally they would automatically Delete when they leave NZP.
