NZP Updates - better security
Discussion - started by nzpersonals, posted on 22-Aug-21 2:25PM
We've recognised that our old security has gotten a bit out of sync with the current trends. So some updates have been applied today which will greatly improve the user's experience.

As of right now, NZP has updated its security: our system no longer divulges login details.

The "Password Reminder" option has been discontinued and replaced with a "Password Reset" option instead.

The join up page no longer sends out the password in its confirmation email.

Also, we've added a "Security PIN" option into the Account / Account Settings page.

If you choose to configure a PIN, it will stop any intruder from making changes to your:
* Password
* Email address
* Login Name
* PIN

Also, (if PIN is configured) the password reset page will challenge you for the PIN before allowing a change to the password.

Additional Notes about PINs:

* When you're challenged for your PIN, you'll get three attempts at it. If you fail three times, then access will be denied and your PIN will be disabled for a while.

* PINs are not stored anywhere on our server and cannot be read, therefore we cannot tell you what your PIN is if you forget it.

Update:

The PIN functionality has been adjusted for Android smart phone users.

We'd like to know if Apple/Mac users are experiencing problems with the new PIN feature.
We welcome your feedback
