Its gets all very complicated should you start comparing people and judging, it's just easier to keep it individual...even people's safety standards are different. I find for a lot of people especially submissives a couple of drinks before starting a scene simply helps them relax a little, especially should they be first timers. A wine or two over negoiations does no harm. If any Dominant was to start a scene knowing somone was way too intoxicated to deal with the play then they don't deserve their position or title!
