Alt Places to go out to in Christchurch?

I'm wondering what actual 'alt' places are available in Chch?

I only know of Cruze Bar, Menfriends, plus Diversities which is the only other place I know.

I'm I missing anywhere else that I could go in the evenings?

I've only been to Cruze once, wasn't keen on paying to get in or the music. Another CD told me that Menfriends is only for guys? The only other place I know is Diversities and that's friendly and laid back, although unsure why more CD's, lesbians, bi couples don't go?

Is there somewhere else that I don't know about? Love to be able to have a dance to decent music and a drink or three

As K road in Akl, a little far and expensive at present for me.

Hence I struggle with having made my move down to South island. North Island much more alive, active and it all always happens up north. Sorry south islanders, but your islNd gets off second best.

I agree, I think it's a problem Chch has
