Searching for mine adrift beloved between stars and sea

About me:
It is the simple things I love. Lighting the fire every Winter's night and using candles just because. Bubble baths while playing film scores and reading some comforting cliche novel. Having a spa and just gazing at the stars. Moonlit beach walks with my dog. Sipping gin by the fire or having a pinot gris with my mum.

I like to eat more than I should and I'm working off that weight, but the upside is I make a damn good home-made meal. Lasagna with handmade pasta and a slow-cooked ragu cooked over an afternoon. Chicken and corn soup from rotisserie or roast chicken leftovers. Fried rice. Pad Thai. Roasts with crispy baked potatoes, peas and gravy. Baked chicken and hand-cut chips. A hearty Winter stew. White chocolate raspberry muffins. Mulled wine. Hot chocolate—real hot chocolate.

I've been lonely for a while. I'm sure some of you can relate. I really want to dance again and fall back in love with life, but also with somebody else. I promise I'm not cynical. Really, I'm still a romantic. Maybe a little soft, definitely emotional. I'll cry at a touching scene in a movie, a good film score, or a moving passage in a book. But I love hard, and I'm looking for someone to love me just the same.

I like handmade things. Like handwritten letters in this world gone digital. A thoughtfully written card or something you've crafted will win me over any day. I prefer old-school things in general, like classic Land Rovers, and antique crystal candle holders.

Interests: HEMA, Medieval and European Martial Arts, Ice skating, Horse riding, Dancing (line dancing, pole, and just general dancing), Learning languages, Linguistics, Literature and reading in general, Movies and film, Going to the theatre, Classical and cinematic music, Playing piano, Singing in the shower, Poetry (both the writing and reading of), Writing in general (I even like writing essays).

I would probably travel anywhere as long as it's not too hot and I can bring my dog.
