Its not the Group where the ratio is a problem. Its the events. If there was no control on the ratio of men the event would be overtaken by men. The couples would stop coming and so would the single woman. There is often a ratio of 10 males to 1 female on internet sites. Its no fun for anyone where there is 10 men to one female. Put your self in the females shoes. Swingers events need to be designed around the woman. They are the ones who make it.

I agree, but also a lot of the men on the sites are fantasizing and only a third of them would even show up, let alone actually join in.

Some people like extra guys, some like extra women, some like it even. Each event might have a specific 'tone', but in general, surely swinging is about looking for what YOU like but accepting that ohers in the community have preferences that might overlap with yours but also differ?
Nobody is suggesting advertising the location of events to the world so a million guys turn up all the time but experience shows that
a., most of them are fakers and wouldn't show
b., a lot of women out there do like the extra attention - I've been grabbed by women wantimg me/us to joim or take over at parties a fair few times -
and shouldn't have 'what to like' imposed on them by group rules(in general, that is - for specific events a 'theme' is normal)

hey put your name forward to wgtngrp. Go out for coffee so they can check you out. The last event was good and the next one should be good too. I hear there is going to be four rooms at the next one. The quality was right up there. Couples made a real effort. Yes there was a few no shows but that is normal. Those that came were committed.

yea, tried that. Didn't get to coffee, as apparently one person's personal opinion of what is attractive (on the basis of an email photo) decides what anyone on the group might be interested in during a get together.
Seems a bit odd, as swingers tend to be real people, not porn-star lookalikes, who just can act and look a bit sexier than average in the right situation...
