HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL ON NZPERSONALS

ATTRACT PEOPLE TO YOUR ADVERT/PROFILE (TIPS)

  • Attach a photo of yourself to your advert - otherwise your profile will probably go unnoticed.
DON'T use photo's obtained from the internet or scanned from magazines - we will delete them and you risk your membership being deleted.
  • Fill out your profile - nobody will send messages to someone who has an empty or boring profile.  Make sure you tell people about yourself and what you're looking for.  Show them you have a sense of humour (if you can) - a good sense of humour (GSOH) goes a long way.
  • Be welcoming and friendly - Say hello to new members and welcome them to the site. First impressions are important, so be nice - DON'T send crude messages to them, it will scare them away.
  • Hit the message boards - our "discussion" area has a broad range of topics that may interest you. Your contribution to the discussions will get you noticed. You may even strike up some friendships.

ONLINE ETIQUETTE AND BEHAVIOUR

  • DO NOT pressure anyone for sex - we will either issue you with a "black mark" or boot you off if you're caught behaving this way.
  • Show RESPECT to the people that you make contact with.
  • Be active and friendly - send messages to people that interest you, even if it's a simple "hi you sound interesting, tell me more...", don't just sit there expecting people to send you messages.
  • Use our content filters: such as "message blocking" and "photo blocking" to prevent unwanted contact.
  • READ the person's whole profile before making contact; and understand what they want.
Don't assume that you know what they want because you will probably be wrong.
  • DO NOT send a picture of your dick (or any other genital) unless it is specifically requested.
  • DO NOT ask anyone for money or offer anyone money - we will boot you off.
  • DO NOT hound people if they don't immediately reply to your messages.
  • DO NOT threaten anyone - we will boot you off.
  • Avoid embarrassment, use the spellchecker before sending messages.
  • Most of all, keep a sense of humour, this is a place to have fun on.
