Dogging on Wellington South Coast

Going for a drive Saturday with a lady friend. Anyone know any safe spots to park up on the southern coast of Wellington?

I don't "get" dogging. Been out a few times with my lady, looking around supposed dogging locations. Occasionally see other cars parked up or guys walking around but nothing ever seems to be actually happening.
