Don't you think if you're being respectful in a conversation that if the other person doesn't want to carry it on they should just tell u that it doesn't feel right for them instead of just blocking u

Any decent person would do the honorable thing - however not all are decent.

I would certainly tell someone, and have, but expecting people to have the same standards I set for myself is naive. I think the words used in the first comment are a bit strong though, it's just good bloody manners really.

Yes, if they want to block that's fine, but letting you know why is polite. Or giving you the message that your tone of conversation isn't welcome with them.
