When you drive over sh 1 , manawatu river bridge heading north, turn off to west, proceed 2 kms , 10 past boat ramp , park by river. No good weekends but mostly empty area for meets and play

Mine had 1 rotted corner. The UK caravans were built for years using untreated timber - can you believe that??? I'm told it was after about 201 they started using treated stuff.
I think it's quite a big job too. Strip the inside rear and do from the inside, or take it off the chassis and do from underneath?
I have not done it and they are all made a little different so don't hold me to that - I just spoke and sent some photos to a friend's repair company waaaaaay down south and we discussed options.

Gypsy caravans in levin have a workshop that do a lot of this type of work, they used to manufacture there own there as well but mainly focus on repairs now

yeh, that'd be a hard look, more than one night on the coast, and there's not really much in the way od secluded parking spots away from the coast, until you head over the other side.
