Five hours drive, walk in the heat and sign on the door says closed today

They are bloody disgusting, I drove over from cambridge and found the same thing,website says open Sunday 3 til 8 ,never again.hope they close and someone else takes over.

The last 4 time I've been there they been. Definitely needs new management. Nothing but bad reviews on there website

Same here, I stopped by when I drove back to Auckland from Tauranga a few times a year ago, used to be a relaxing stop. Now, it's just unreliable and expensive.

They just need to close the doors, wasted time to find out they are shut!!

I think this place may have shut down.the door doesn't seem to open anymore, they don't answer the phone. That young idiot took over the place 12 months ago and he's killed it. Sorry Hamilton, it seems we've lost our hot spot after being such a good venue for years and years.

Notice on the door saying they are closing down for good. Hopefully they will sell up and someone new can take over, it was such a fun place at one point. New owners just ruined it.

Yeah I saw that too. Is it now closed for good or is there any days left. There is no update on the website. I imagine its just gone. Shame I had some great times in there.

End of a great venue

After a year of completely erratic and unpredictable opening hours, GuyZ has finally announced closure. I’m surprised it took so long.

There are a few people looking to talk to the owner to see if the lease can be transferred. Hopefully the present owner hasn’t stripped it.

It was a valuable facility for Hamilton and many of us had some great times there. If it does rise from the ashes we all need to cum out and support it.

Very true, but that place has been there for well over a decade. Good source of income bit maybe they want to do something with the building

It might not be anymore though. With the rising costs of everything the landlords might be charging to much to make is viable. That's a guess of course. What a lose. Gonna try later on today see if that last opening day is true.

That's sad. I'm a bit surprised how much damage a new owner can do to that place and the city in such a short time, ( about a year i think)

The previous owner was not good either - no investment on maintenance, didn’t pay staff etc.

Yeah, that place went downhill so quickly it was kinda astonishing. When the lube dispensers went that was the high water mark for this place is fucked. And no in the good way we were all hoping to be when there.

Guyz was great before the last owners. Price was good and it was open regular hours. Then came the new owners, price rise, new paint was the change along with removing privacy types things and making it way more light inside. Hours then became erratic and for people driving distance to get there...closed. Seemed to be very little respect for a loyal clientele. Now, they have paid the price for ignoring customers needs. Hope someone buys it and restarts it. I did see Centurian (Akl) said they'd be up for it if someone else wanted to do it

I heard a rumor that the landlords don't want it made into a club again. I do hope Centurian open something here though that would be good for the community.

looks like the place is closed for good, the web site is gone and the google site says closed permanently. its sad to see saunas closing down, its happening in many places overseas as becomes so expensive to lease a property and run a good club.
if any one is keen to look at serious options Centurian Sauna would be open to helping out, We hope that some one can rescue this place! Rob
