Safe/protected Sex
Discussion - started by Sexy_Red_247, posted on 23-Apr-25 12:22AM
Question: why does having a non-negotiable boundary around safe sex & questioning dangerous sexual behaviour get comments ‘clobbered’?

I understand that a large number of members were sexually active in the 70s when things were very different; but in 20 when we know what we know…it seems somewhat counterproductive to be both ‘sex positive’ but also censoring people that are pro-safety…

Most the members on here are on their way to the retirement home best way of looking at it. More of a sausage flop it out fest than anything real. Way of life internet to many people hiding behind screens wannabe nothings.

That’s an interesting comment. One of my parents lives at a lovely “lifestyle village” for people 65+ (they’re 80yo) & in the May newsletter there was a short note regarding sexual safety due to a sharp increase in residents presenting to the on-site health centre with an STI - the stories I hear from there of residents gallivanting about like teenagers are fun - but clearly the safety aspect of enjoying one’s retirement needs some work.

Why take the risk. Trust no1 but yourself how I see life these days. Why give sumthing that's preventable. I say it how it is might butter hurt a few in what I say but online forum there's others I see on here that give make the retirement village look placid.
