Call me old or old school or both but I avoid all of those difficulties by taking along good ol actual cash to the bank and depositing it into NZP's account to renew my membership 🤷‍♀️

Myself, I just post the cash to them, might be old fashion but there is the bonus of no digital trail.

Never was for me when my status used to read "it's complicated"...avoided joint bank accounts too haha but yes I do believe it is a consideration for many on sites such as this

See you now have single on your profile (nice profile by the way) that must change the landscape considerably.
Be a whole new ball game i guess ?
I'm a little envious.

Police is about the least safe form of digital payment.... And it's bloody hard work.
I'm not sure what the owners here are thinking when they say they can't do credit/debit card payments.... All the other sites still do.
I normally pay by transfered but sometimes I've waited a week to get my account updated.
Now they have limited messaging has really made the site unappealing.
I'm still here but I find I'm using my other sites more and more and this one less.
When they limited messaging the traffic dropped off by huge amounts... I think a rethink by the owners would be a good idea.

At this point I don’t trust it

from the discussion on this a few months ago.. it's down to credit card companies deciding some businesses are 'bad risk' so are stopping access.

I would never use Poli if they want my details. I just bank to bank transfer. Maybe the credit card companies were charging nzp a fee so they dropped it.

no she said the credit card companies were withdrawing access

Untrue. No NZ bank supports it as far as I know and it invalidates your banking guarantee if you hand over your details to 3rd parties like Poli. Might be supported by some major brands, but they shouldn't, and certainly not by the banks.

It's all rather grey.
What I meant was Poli works with all major NZ banks, which is implied support.
Some banks - ASB, BNZ, Westpac - say it is a breach of their terms.
Others - ANZ, Kiwibank say "maybe".
What is needed is clarification from the banks.
If Poli is so bad then block it.

That does not imply support at all.
A quick Google search brings up article after article about why the banks won't advise use of poli, as well as countless articles of people losing their money to scams linked to poli accounts.
The owners here have an excuse that I just don't buy... No other similar pages seem to have any issues with standard measures.
I think it's just works better in the sites favour in terms of money taken.
I've paid a sub a few times now.... But I have not renewed this time. My partner and myself offer things that aren't the usual here and without a sub it's to hard to manage.... So we now use other sites.
