Does anyone else feel ...
Discussion - started by Katerina, posted on 12-Dec-25 4:15PM
... deflated after casual sex, in the moment with someone you don't know, and who doesn't know you?

Then, I assume (as I used to), you will go looking for the next 'fix', and quickly afterward you are deflated again, so you go on to the next, and the next .......

I've been through it. The 'Fix'.

Now I desire something more substantial, and lasting.

I'd like to get to know and love a man, as he gets to know and love me.

Does anyone else feel like this?

Even a bit?

I know, I'm a helpless romantic.

I feel that romance and love are underrated.

Time to be brave and speak my truth too.
Yes! 🙋‍♀️! First two paragraphs resonate with me 100% and ooooh yes the subsequent sourcing of the next vicious cycle, self-sabotaging, entirely disappointing and unfulfilling, ever hopeful "Fix" hmm 🤔 where are Freud or Jung when you need them...pull up a couch lol
Please N.B. to all 'others' I, too, am only referring to random/casual hook ups in this instance.
I feel "a bit" the same regarding wanting (and deserving) something more although not sure that would like love as such for me.If it did I very much doubt/know I would not procure that from a site such as this. Certainly, though, a TRUE fwb vs a fuck buddy.
Great believer in opening yourself up to the Universe to attract/allow that special person in but...if you are actively looking to find said person I don't believe you will find him or her. They turn up out of the blue when you very least expect it. Trust in the power of fate, in my humble opinion.
Also agree that romance and love are underrated these days, due to the times in which we now live. Dating/socialising/sex sites, social media etc...all very different ways/forums to go about these things from days gone by. Not in a good way, although I suppose that is dependent upon one's age group. A lot of marriages fall into the 'throw away' present day society. First argument = divorce! To easy.
That all said, very much hope 'the' man (to love and be loved by) crosses your path in a timely fashion!
