Ettiquete is important. Chivalry for the opposite sex aside. I do believe we should treat others how we'd like to be treated ourselves. Also, the small gestures can mean a lot to strangers. It's nice to be warm and welcoming and to receive it in kind right?

I'll be honest... Since coming to NZ from England, I don't see it too often when out and about. I suppose since most of everyday life is spent online people are maybe forgetting about these things?

Asking someone to provide evidence they've made is called the burden of proof. If you make a claim, the burden of proof is on your to back that claim with evidence. If you can't, then your claim can be effectively dismissed.

Yes there are still gentlemen out there. I'm trans and have had men open doors for me. Had a young gentleman help put shopping in back of car and returned the trolley for me. I thanked him for being so kind
